Sydnee Thomas

Sydnee Thomas serves on the Board of Directors for Beyond the City, where she is committed to helping expand opportunities and experiences for youth in her community. A student at Grand Rapids Community College pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Sydnee brings a strong sense of service, leadership, and dedication to supporting others.

Through her professional experiences in public service, hospitality, and customer engagement including roles with the Office of Commissioner Perdue and Gerald R. Ford International Airport; Sydnee has developed a deep appreciation for teamwork, communication, and creating environments where people feel supported and valued.

As a board member, Sydnee is passionate about uplifting young people and helping them access the kinds of opportunities that broaden perspectives and inspire confidence. She believes deeply in the power of service, mentorship, and community investment to help the next generation realize their full potential.
